In 1980, Vickie decided she wanted her career to be in the Pet Business. Her first job was kennel help and teaching basic obedience, working with Labrador Retriever puppies being raised as prospective drug dogs. Eventually, she wanted to expand her experience to Pet Grooming. She met Linda Mazor, the owner of Linda's Pet Grooming in Clear Lake, TX. Linda was very well schooled in the art of scissoring and was a very good teacher. Vickie started out as a bather learning the proper techniques of hand-drying.
In 1982, Vickie purchased Linda's grooming shop, moved the business to a new location in Webster, TX and changed the name to Clip, Snip N Dip. Through the years , she has passed the art of pet styling on to several people, who now have their own businesses.
In 1997, Vickie decided to move from the Southeast side of Houston to the Northwest side in Spring. She is still grooming in that area and now owns and operates the K9 Social Club on Louetta Road.
Over the years, Vickie has enjoyed training and showing her dogs in Conformation, Obedience, Tracking, Stock, Schutzhund and Disc dog (Frisbee).
